It isn’t hard to find glamour in Florence!

January can fill grim, so Destination Florence seeks to make it BE.GLAM! It’s always a fashion-filled month in Florence, with Pitti Immagine bringing style to the city. On DF’s blog, you’ll find articles on historic theatres, top brunch spots, and high calibre jewellery, with fashion and more featuring. February, of course, is dedicated to BE.LOVE, in all its forms. Whether it’s love for art, tales of amore from long ago, attention to yourself with wellbeing, or the joy in sharing with those you care for, you’ll find Dante and Beatrice as well as the low-down on new exhibitions this month.

The city is undoubtedly a cultural and creative hub
In March, Destination Florence takes a female-focus with a BE.WOMAN theme. Well-known Florentine women, dedicated exhibitions, and travelling with friends are at the centre of this month’s articles and ideas, with female-focused services also outlined in an informational article. In April, things get BE.CREATIVE with crafts, manufacturing, botany and gardens explored in the month that sees the 86th edition of the MIDA International Crafts Fair come to the city, not forgetting Florence Jewellery Week from April 28.

Maggio Musicale Fiorentino’s new auditorium

May turns to BE.ROCK with a look at all things music, dance and opera related. Florence never fails to host an array of performances, with many of the city’s renowned theatres such as Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro della Pergola and Teatro Verdi bringing renowned performers to their illustrious stages. Destination Florence takes a BE.YOURSELF theme in June, exploring all things LGBTQ+ in the city.
July is about BE.MODERN with a focus on contemporary art; there’s far more to be found in Florence than you might think! The heat of August will have us all longing to BE.COOL and Destination Florence will outline all the ways you can be so.

F.Light brings a glow to Ponte Vecchio

BE.HAPPY in September, as we settle into routines post-summer holidays and enjoy the usually idyllic weather. Avail of the BE.LONG portal that welcomes all new students and temporary workers and citizens to Florence, with tips, info and advice to make your arrival into the city as smooth as possible. October is all about an environmentally-friendly lifestyle with a BE.GREEN outlook, and November has us looking at how to BE.INSPIRED. That brings us to December and our BE.HUMAN theme, with the F.Light Festival an annual occasion that lights up the city with installations and projections to finish off the year in style.
