You never forget your first Spoon Dinner. Or the most recent one.

All the guests at the Spoon night in June 2021

One torrid late June night, I got dressed up to the nines only to eagerly top my party frock with a chef’s jacket for a photo call as picnic hampers descended from the floor above at Hotel Lungarno. Stellar entertainment, food and wine is par for the course as CEO of Lungarno Collection, Valeriano Antonioli, and his creative team design unforgettable experiences for hotel guests and non-residents.

Introduced as a culinary concept in 2015, the Spoon dinner series returns on September 13 at one Michelin-star restaurant Borgo San Jacopo. Guest chef Bruno Cossio, from Trattoria Enrico Bartolini, joins resident chef Claudio Mengoni in the kitchen for the epicurean extravaganza that celebrates dining as a convivial experience. Dishes include Manoica spume grilled mussels and green pepper; Mushroom soup with buffalo ricotta and black truffle; Cibreo seafood risotto; Glazed suckling pig in porchetta, port shallots and Dijon mustard; Yogurt Lolly Pop and white chocolate; and Rice pudding, raspberries, and lavender crumble, while the impressive wines feature Laurent-Perrier Champagne, Tuscan Vermentino and Sicilian whites, bubbles from Alto Adige and a Chianti Classico-centric red.

Expect the unexpected!
