Today, the actor, producer and pianist is shooting scenes at Palazzo Magnani Feroni, a luxury hotel currently undergoing renovation in Florence’s San Frediano neighbourhood. The palazzo’s decadent frescoes and opulent features provide the perfect setting for the memory play set in the house where the composer died in Beverly Hills. Felder’s newest production tells the story of a strange meeting between Rachmaninoff and Anna Anderson, the woman who claimed to be the sole surviving member of the Romanov Dynasty, the Princess Anastasia.

Featuring the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff, the production welcomes special guests J. Anthony Crane as Tsar Nicholas II Alexandrovich Romanov, Ekaterina Siurina as Natalia Alexandrovna Rachmaninoff, Igor Polesitsky as Dr. Golitzin and The Florentine’s own Helen Farrell as Anna Anderson. Directed by Hershey Felder and Stefano de Carli, viewing access will run from May 17 to 23.
