Postcards from Florence is a digital exhibition created by the students of Polimoda, which reflects the multicultural creative minds unique to Florence.

Thirty young creatives are associated with an equal number of iconic spots in the city through 150 black-and-white photographs, which are accompanied by words, slogans, poetry and the students’ feelings.

Using the online map, viewers can visit piazza del Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio, Loggiato degli Uffizi, piazza della Repubblica and more virtually, while reading stories from the fashion institute’s young demographic.

It is inspiring to see how dearly the international students hold Florence in their hearts. Janie from South Africa tells of her love for Florence, “unspoiled beauty, art and culture resonate in me like no other city ever would”, while another student from Norway mentions how “Florence welcomes you and envelops you with the scent of roses and freshly baked almond croissants”.
