Tuscany as you’ve never seen it before: 20 gigantic works by the Prato-born renowned photojournalist Massimo Sestini stand magnificently at Forte Belvedere, overlooking the city until October 31. The truly spectacular works form the ‘Bellezza oltre il limite’ (Beauty beyond limits) exhibition, curated by Sergio Risaliti.

The stunning shots were taken from 2000 feet above ground as Sestini dangles from helicopters and other aircrafts to capture his completely original shots using a telephoto lens. The photographs have been blown up to the enormous size of 5 meters by 3 meters, creating an incredible illusion of hovering above Tuscany. Sestini’s original vision and immensely powerful images convey the immense beauty of the culture and landscape of Tuscany, the cradle of the Renaissance.

The works are part of the ‘Toscana, Rinascimento senza fine’ (Tuscany, Never-ending renaissance) initiative that will promote the region internationally and are being viewed for the first time in Florence.

The exciting exhibition is promoted by the Regione Toscana and Comune di Firenze, and carried out by Fondazione Sistema Toscana, Toscana Promozione Turistica and Mus.e.

The works can be viewed at Forte Belvedere, via di San Leonardo 1, from 3-8pm every day of the week except Monday, until October 31. Last entry at 7pm.
