Free music in the Giardino dell’ArteCultura
Head to the Giardino dell’ArteCultura (via Vittorio Emanuele II 4, Florence) for Tuttapposto a Ferragosto, which offer a smorgasbord of free concerts from 7.30pm, plus beers and bites.
French films at Villa Bardini
Outdoor cinema continues in the spectacular setting of Villa Bardini; Gilles Lellouche’s 7 uomini a mollo will be screened in Italian (9:15pm, 5 euro, booking recommended; see here for more details).

Giorgio Diritti’s 2020 hit film Volevo nascondermi will be screened at 9.30 and midnight in the scenic Santa Maria Novella cloister (7 euro, 6 euro for Unicoop Firenze members; online booking recommended here).
Cinema debut at Manifattura Tabacchi
Hip urban space Manifattura Tabacchi will show La Terra dell’Abbastanza, a cinema debut by Damiano and Fabio D’Innocenzo at 9.15pm (5 euro, buy your ticket here).
Museum openings
The Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens will remain open on August 15 (Uffizi 9am-6.30pm; Palazzo Pitti 8.30am-1.30pm; Boboli Gardens 8.45am-6.30pm). Remember that Palazzo Pitti is half-price for earlybirds who arrive before 9.25 in the morning. The Duomo complex will also be open all day, as too are Palazzo Strozzi, the Accademia and the Palazzo Vecchio Museum, plus many more museums and galleries in Florence.
