This Sunday’s encounter delves into the life of Michelangelo Buonarroti, unrivaled in Renaissance art. Traveling virtually to Florence, Cararra and Rome, this one hour talk will explore the life and career of one of the most exceptional artists. Join on Zoom using this link. Join The British Institute of Florence on Zoom for the latest installment in their cultural series. Painter, sculptor, art historian and author Dr. Alan Pascuzzi will give a talk titled ‘Florentine Renaissance Art in the Domestic Sphere: Art and Daily Life in Renaissance Florence’. EDUCATION/ Museo Galileo

Explorers galore



The Galileo Museum has created an educational series for secondary schools, providing free video lessons on a range of topics. Three different learning journeys can be activated such as “The wonderful imperfection of the universe from Galileo Galilei to Primo Levi”, focusing on the influence of science and technology on philosophy, literature and society; “Galileo in Musica”, examining song lyrics inspired by the great scientist and his unexpected influence on pop music; and finally “Gulliver’s travels or … science in the clouds” taking inspiration from Jonathan Swift’s masterpiece and his caricature of the eighteenth-century scientific world.
