Sunday brunch at the Four Seasons Florence is the Brunch of All Brunches. A bargeful of tuna sashimi, eggs any which way cooked to order, Executive Chef Vito Mollica’s once-bitten-never forgotten lampredotto panini. Room after room of exquisitely prepared brunch delights in the decadent setting of the city’s most luxurious hotel. One table after another adorned in pastry chef Domenico di Clemente’s hedonistic sweet treats (make sure you leave room for them).

Now you can recreate the Four Seasons in your own kitchen—or attempt to do so at least—thanks to the brunch book with recipes compiled by the Michelin-starred chef.

Featuring mouth-watering photography by Barbara Santoro and published by Italian Gourmet, Il Brunch Italiano tells the story of the philosophy behind the typical Italian brunch offered every Sunday at both Four Seasons Florence and Four Seasons Milan.

More than a traditional personal cookbook, Vito Mollica wanted this new edition to reflect the teamwork of his talented team respectively in Florence and Milan. “The Sunday brunch is much more than just an enhanced breakfast, or a culinary neologism; it is a moment of happiness devoted to food to be shared with loved ones. It is like a Sunday smile before the Monday,” says Mollica.

Il Brunch Italiano offers more than 90 recipes, divided between cocktails, breakfast, appetisers, pasta dishes and soups, sandwiches, salads, fish and meat courses accompanied by a large section dedicated to pastries. The book is an introduction to Michelin-starred cuisine combining Chef Vito and his team’s culinary talent and creativity to create simple, yet stylish and light brunch dishes.
