Tuscan Fitness offers revitalising yoga retreats and health holidays in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Combining yoga, fitness training and hiking as well as delicious yet nutritious food, these are fitness vacations designed to both relax and recharge.

Tuscan Fitness is located at the Fontebussi Tuscan Resort, on a tranquil hilltop with amazing views on the property and the surrounding hills and olive groves. Fontebussi can be found in the Valdarno region, conveniently close to the cities of Florence, Arezzo and Siena, making it ideal for visiting the area. Nestled between the left bank of the river Arno and the hills of Chianti, it is also called the “Porta del Chianti” or door of Chianti, as it is situated on the doorstep of this beautiful region, famous worldwide for its ancient hilltop towns, excellent views and delicious wines.

The yoga retreats at Tuscan Fitness focus specifically on Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga for all levels so that our guests can learn as a beginner, or simply delve more deeply into their practice if they are more advanced. We aim to work both the physical body and also the mind so that one can feel at peace with their surroundings.

The setting is cozy and warm, reflecting the nurturing environment that will host you on your health holiday. There is yoga everyday as well as the option of hiking and circuit training, and all meals are carefully prepared to suit our guests’ dietary requirements. As part of our daily fitness options, the circuit training sessions that we offer are customized to suit our guests’ level of stamina and familiarity with circuits. They are held on the beautiful grounds of the resort, set against great views and are a fun and engaging way to improve ones’ fitness level and stamina. We also offer a variety of hiking options to allow our guests to truly appreciate the gorgeous scenery of the Tuscan countryside. We run at least one hike per day across the rolling hills surrounding the hotel, or into some of the nearby regions such as Chianti and the Valdambra, and a number of our hikes finish at a local famous vineyard for a wine tasting.

At Tuscan Fitness, guests can also choose to partake in some of the additional activity options on offer that are aimed at maximizing our guests relaxation and also highlighting the best that this region of Tuscany has to offer. Some of the these activities include on-site massages, private yoga sessions, guided tours of the Chianti region, cooking classes, biking tours, wine tasting tours and meditation sessions.

The season opens for continuous enrollment from May 1 until the end of October and we run a rolling sign-up to allow our guests more flexibility for their trip so they can choose whichever arrival and departure date is most convenient. Guests are welcome to stay for as little as one day or as long as a month or more if they wish.

Tuscan Fitness is a unique health holiday in Italy, an environment where guests can feel welcome, comfortable and rejuvenated. We pride ourselves on our ability to offer you the health holiday you want, combining fun, sun, yoga, exercise, healthy eating and relaxation to work for you.
