Considered the most widespread internet TV service in the world, Netflix just made its debut in Italy.
The Netflix catalogue varies with each country, but in Italy Netflix executives have said that the catalogue will contain 80% international films and 20% Italian films. Catalogue numbers are expected to double within the first year its year of its launch in Italy. Networks like Sky and Mediaset will continue to air shows as normal (like House of Cards).
All content is available in original sound with audio and subtitles in other languages, including Italian.
Netflix will allow American shows to be streamed at the same time that series episodes are aired in the US.
