If you are in Florence for Easter weekend, take advantage of some special openings and free entries at museums. We’ve compiled them into a handy list.

Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015

All state museums are operating under normal festive hours. In addition, since it is the first Sunday of the month, all state run museums in Italy are free. This is part of the movement “Domenica al museo,” an initiative to promote increased attendance at museums. State museums in Florence include the Uffizi, Accademia, Medici Chapels and others. For a full list please see polomuseale.firenze.it
