If Brunelleschi and Ghiberti were alive today, which Instagram filter do you think they would choose to capture their famous monuments: Lo-Fi, Earlybird or Toaster? Now you get to put your own amateur photography skills to the test and interpret piazza del Duomo 2.0 through the lens of your camera phone, thanks to a photo contest entitled A Photo From the Museum. Your View of the Great Museum of the Cathedral, on until October 31, sponsored by the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore, in conjunction with Instagramers Italy.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

All you have to do is register on http://operaduomo.firenze.it/contest, geo-reference your photos and include the hashtag #MuseoDuomoFI. The selected photos will be displayed in a special exhibition from November 22 to 24, 2013, at the Art and Culture Center Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore. Just remember: creativity is key, and—let’s be honest here—it’s such a thrill to add a filter.
