September is a month full of fashion and cultural events all over Italy.
We started off with the Venice Film Festival, soon it will be Milan Women’s
Fashion Week and, in the meantime, the unmissable Vogue Fashion’s Nights Out,
which comes to Florence for the first time on September 18th.

The event promises to be captivating and unusual with all night
shopping, special performances, cocktail parties, music and meetings with
artists and trend-setters throughout the city centre. All revenues from sales
will go to supporting the people and facilities struck by the earthquake in
Emilia Romagna and Lombardy.

Here’s a little sneak-peak of what to enjoy on the night.

The traveling boutique I Love
Shopping Fashion Flash Farm
will stop at the beautiful venue of Palazzo Antinori‘s cloister, one of
Florence’s most fascinating historic buildings. For VFNO they will have a
collection of fifteen emerging Italian designers, each of whom will sell a
custom object exclusively for the evening.

The Aria Art Gallery of
Florence will host Unfolding, a
photographic exhibition by American former model Alyssia Lazin.

Arte in Vetrina will open on the night, an exhibit characterized by gold, an important
theme for the antiquarian tradition. Gold will also be the common thread for all
participating art galleries on the night.

There will be a plethora of products to purchase, on sale exclusively during
the evening, including the September issue of Vogue Italia which will be sold at
all news-stands with the official VFNO
2012 t-shirt
signed by QVC.

The temple of contemporary fashion Luisa Via Roma will host the capsule collection signed by Delfina Delettrez
Fendi, including cockroach-shaped
broaches which represent the unique eclectic style of this young designer.

Lavazza and Fashion 4
Development
– a UN operating partner which aims
to increase the growth of a sustainable economy through fashion – asked six
famous Italian designers, Marni, Roberto Cavalli, Missoni, Etro, Versace and
Moschino, to dress-up a special limited edition of coffee cans, which will be
on sale in piazza della Repubblica.

La Rinascente in piazza della Repubblica will set up a series of previews and limited
edition articles made exclusively for VFNO.

BP Studio on via della Vigna Nuova celebrates artisan production of knitwear with a demonstration in their store window that’s sure to fascinate.

Marking the fiftieth anniversary of Marylin Monroe’s
death, Fratelli Rossetti will dedicate a limited edition of Lady
Brera pumps to her, and the store will host a special Nail’s Spa corner, for a Marilyn style manicure.

Last but not least, the event One Night, One Outfit at Malloni’s where
guests can become models for a night. Plus cocktail parties at Elisabetta
Franchi
, Salvatore Ferragamo and Cesare Paciotti stores and special burlesque performances at Bottega Quattro‘s shop.

A
unique evening in Florence full of fashion, fun and, of course, shopping, VFNO
is one not to be missed.
