Summer has arrived in
Florence, bringing with it new events and old staples.

Venues across the
city are bringing summer fun outdoors and filling the streets with music and
games. Among them is the Easy Living (Piazza Poggi), which boasts a full bar
and ‘seaside’ fun at the Arno beach, where patrons can catch rays and play
beach volleyball and soccer. For information, see http://tinyurl.com/bn6f9dy.

Las Palmas (Largo Annigoni)
offers various music programs each day and low-cost aperitivi. For information, see www.laspalmasfirenze.it.

A Bio-Fruit Bar has
opened in Circolo Aurora (Piazza Tasso), offering smoothies and fruit
cocktails, as well as activities, such as free tai chi, DJ sets and language
exchanges. For details, see www.circoloaurorafirenze.it.

Open for a second
year, Off Bar,  outside the Fortezza da Basso, will host aperitivi al fresco, music events and
open-air cinema. For details, see https://www.facebook.com/off.bar.

Even the Giardino
dell’Artecultura at Florence’s horticulture gardens, on via Bolognese 17, is
offering events daily through the summer season. For information, call
338/7507562 or 338/7583858.
